Having your identity ripped beneath your feet is a weird thing.
Good? Maybe.
Uncertain? Absolutely.
Where do you go when you don’t have any idea where to start? When what you thought you knew was only a facade of ‘smoke and mirrors’?
You start all over again. You pick up what is left and start messy.
- Start unenlightened.
- Start bitter.
- Start angry.
- Start numb.
- Start confused & lost.
- Start jealous.
- Start scared shitless
- Start lonely and afraid.
- Start disconnected and distracted.
Start by simply coming as you are.

If you’re feeling stuck…
Just know it is not because you don’t know HOW to have confidence, a “positive” mindset, the ability to gain skills or whatever else you were led to believe.
You’re stuck because you’ve been taught a dangerous myth: that you cannot start where you are TRULY at and that you need to prove your worth before beginning.

We assume that in order to occupy a role of empowerment and leadership, we must embody perfection.
Perfection is an unattainable fantasy – you will be pedestaled one day, and torn down the next. Leaving you wondering why you are a failure and not enough.
In my journey of understanding my growth and evolution, I have learned far more from my failures, setbacks & pain, than my “perfect” days, decisions and choices…

If you’re waiting around until you’re “ready” enough…
Or “healed” enough…
Or “feminine” enough…
Or “creative” enough…
Or “accepted” enough…
Or “confident” enough…
You will delay the opportunities that are waiting for you.
The world needs you now.
Not when you’re perfect.

Even if that means you have to slow down, say the wrong things, and generate cringe – so be it!
Repeat after me: “it is okay to show up as me RIGHT NOW as I stand.”
Because it is authentic. It is real. It is raw.
And people are craving that connection.
Lead your own way and be a lighthouse for those who need help finding their way as well.

Do right by yourself, by bringing yourself to the table.
Use your voice to speak your pain and heartbreak.
Be vulnerable in your journey of where you’ve been and where you want to go.

And if being a “good enough” leader means you have to disown and discard the emotions/experiences that have given you the most wisdom…
Then who are being “good enough” for anyway?
It wouldn’t be for you. Just another external pressure to be someone you’re not.

So is having the uncertainty of not knowing your identity anymore scary? Yes. But it is also a launching pad to create some magical shit, right now as you are.
Be free.
